Prof. Dr. Christian Siemers

Christian Siemers was born in Kiel in 1954. He studied physics and mathematics at Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, receiving a diploma in physics in 1981 and a PhD in natural sciences in 1984. Subsequently, he worked at Siemens Data and Communication Systems in Munich before moving to Dräger Medical Systems in Lübeck in 1989.

He has been a professor of technical computer science since 1993, initially at the University of Applied Sciences Stralsund (until 1995) and later at the University of Applied Sciences in Heide/Holstein (until 2001). He has held a position at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences since 2002 and at Clausthal University of Technology since 2008. His primary interests lie in programmable system architectures—specifically microprocessors, programmable logic devices, and all intermediate forms—as well as the hardware/software interface, program development concepts, and programming languages.

After being finally retired in 2025, he has joined Ubitium company in Düsseldorf and Rülzheim, where he currently holds the position as Chief Engineer Application.
